Allison Pregler Bio
Allison Pregler is an avid reviewer of Z-graded movies, mostly in the horror and martial arts categories. Her style and approach is similar to The Cinema Snob. However, she tends towards stupid action movies and has a fascination with the morbid. The reviews began in late 2009; after she gained some fame (under her old name, Obscurus-Lupa), Allison Pregler became part of Channel Awesome's family. The website remained online until the early days of the year 2015 when Obscurus Lupa Presents changed its name to Movie Nights. The two podcasts she hosts are as well as a show that covers Charmed. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. You can watch it here and here. You can also find her videos on Twitter and Tumblr. Do you want to be as good as Allison? Ninja the Mission Force is the place to catch Allison doing the squats as Interpol Ninja Cheetah. Brad Jones' Jesus Bro! was also her first film. She has also been a guest star on several episodes of his show Midnight Screenings. She reviews terrible films for children or RiffTrax shows, as well sometimes adult-oriented films (including Baywatch (2017)). The first time she reviewed movies was in 2009. Following her rise to fame on the Channel Awesome forums, she was invited to be part of the reviewing community. There have been numerous appearances throughout Channel Awesome, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. She was a part of the Channel Awesome family alongside Doug Walker and would often appear on episode of the Nostalgia Critic.
